The ideas of each of economic system vary greatly. Fascism has a dictator and exalts the nation, capitalism focuses on keeping government out of business, communism allows collective ownership, and socialism promotes the fair distribution of benefits.

Capitalism, which is often blamed for creating greed, is simply economic freedom. In a capitalist system, people can own property and have the freedom to spend or invest their money in whatever way they see fit (providing that it is not illegal). As a result of the system's structures, people are enabled to advance themselves into higher social classes through hard work and good investments. Communism is the antithesis to capitalism. It is a system in which economic freedom is severely limited, to the point of the government owning all property and means of production. There is virtually no free enterprise and it can be difficult to run any sort of business, since the government controls all parts of the economy. The main goal of communism is to create a classless society, unlike the society of a capitalist system which has many classes. Essentially, this means that even through hard work, it is fairly impossible to advance oneself to a higher social setting.

Socialism is a system that is in between capitalism and communism. It involves collective ownership and control of various aspects of the economy, while retaining limited free enterprise. An important difference of socialism from communism is that it is concerned mostly with controlling the economy, rather than controlling the economy and politics. Fascism is a system that creates a single-party state that is totalitarian and often headed by a dictator. The political party works to unite the people through the use of a national identity and its own political ideology.

Capitalism: an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and distribution of goods. Often characterized by a free competitive market and motivated by profit.
Communism: the political theory or system in which all property and wealth is owned in a classless society by all members of that society.
Fascism: any movement, ideology, or attitude that favors dictatorial government, centralized control of private enterprise, repression of all opposition, and extreme nationalism.
Socialism: a political theory or system (similar to communism) in which the means of production and distribution are controlled by the people and operated according to equity and fairness rather than market principles.

>Capitalism is the economic system in which investment in and ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange of wealth is made and maintained chiefly by private individuals or corporations, especially as contrasted to cooperatively or state-owned means of wealth.
>Communism is a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state.
>Fascism is a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
> Socialism is a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
