Kadafi is dead! Discuss the political, national, and internal effects his death will have on the world. You can use quotes from the media, be sure to give credit.
With Kadafi dead Libya will decide on a new government to replace the existing one with. Since Libya is a nation greatly influenced by Islam it is a possibility that they will install Sharia Law.
"The focus in Libya now turns to building a democratic system, collecting thousands of weapons and reining in militias that now impose order". Looking at this statement, I can agree with the fact that Libya will have difficulty trying to replace their government. This may cause more chaos, but the death of Kadafi will have many positive effects. For the time being the streets of Libya are filled with high spirits and rejoicing.

Due to Kadafi's death the way the government is run and its laws will change. Like Garrett said Sharia Law could be enforced in Libya and be a practice in their everyday living. Kadafi's death will make a less hostile environment for the Libyans. Other countries will be spending time and money on helping Libya. This will change the world because other countries could go more in debt due to the fact that they are so worried about helping Libya.
Kadafi is dead atlast! For most people this is good news. Over the past few days there has been talk about whether or not Kadafi should have been captured or just killed. From my understanding through CNN news, Kadafi has been killed, not captured. I feel that having Kadafi killed was the most appropriate move because I believe that if Kadafi were captured that that would open more doors such as the possibility of escaping or even the Islamic people rebeling. The death of Kadafi will not only make the world a bit safer, but i believe that it will also help unite people and help bring more terrorists out from hiding and to an end. When Kadafi was captured before being killed he begged and pleaded not to be killed. Isn't it ironic how people who kill don't want to be killed?
This qoat is fromthe LA Times blog. “The family of deceased Libyan dictator Moammar Kadafi reportedly plans to file a war-crimes complaint against NATO for the role they believe the international military alliance played in the former leader’s death, a lawyer for the family told Agence France-Presse news service.” http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/world_now/2011/10/moammar-kadafi-family-nato.html
I have to say I am very impressed with your comments. Many of you are looking at the news in one form or another, this adds great perspective and credability to your posts. Keep up the good work.
I believe that whenever a government or government leader, particularly a dictator, is overthrown, great care must be taken to ensure a smooth and nonviolent transition back to normality. Ahead of Libya now are going to be the toughest days of the revolution. Waging war is quite easy when compared to developing peace. The Libyan rebels must now lay down their arms and settle back into civilian life or become members of Libya's new military. If they do not re-purpose themselves now, rebel infighting is likely to plague the new nation. I think the Libyans should proceed carefully: what they create will last for a long time, whether that be a fair and just government, a corrupt government, anarchy or tyranny. I truly hope the Libyan people can accomplish the fulfillment of their dreams. The capture (or as it happened, the death) of Col Gaddafi is the first major step towards that goal.
